GS1 Turkmenistan is the sole representative authorized by the international organization GS1 to allocate standardized GS1 barcodes in Turkmenistan.
If you decide to barcode your products or to use other standards and solutions of GS1, you should join “GS1 Turkmenistan” which is the member of GS1 and its sole representative in the territory of Turkmenistan.
Organization “GS1 Turkmenistan” is funded only by its members through membership fees. Allocation of GS1 numbers to the members of the organization is FREE, regardless of the amount of products need to be bar coded. The CERTIFICATE of membership and also the membership card are the documents confirming membership in “GS1 Turkmenistan”.
To join “GS1 Turkmenistan” state and private companies, economic societies and farm associations shall submit the following documents:
- A member’s application form for a membership of GS1 Turkmenistan (Form 1). Form 1 shall be filled out in accordance with the sample, by block letters, signed only by the head of a company and sealed. Applications completed illegibly or incompletely will not be accepted!
- A questionnaire (Form 2). Form 2 shall be filled out in accordance with the sample, by block letters, signed only by the head of a company and sealed. Questionnaires completed illegibly or incompletely will not be accepted!
- An application GS1 to obtain barcodes (Form 3). Form 3 shall be completed in accordance with the sample, by block letters, signed only by the head of a company and sealed. Applications completed illegibly or incompletely will not be accepted!
- A list of products manufactured by a company. A list shall be signed only by the head of a company and sealed.
- A copy of the Charter.
- A copy of the EGRPO certificate and a certificate from the Ministry of Economy of Turkmenistan.
- A certificate of conformity issued by Gosstandard or a certificate of quality issued by the Ministry of Public Health of Turkmenistan.
- A copy of the passport of the head of a company.
- A copy of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan membership certificate.
- Payment orders for payment of the one-time joining fee and an annual membership fees. Payment may be made by banking transfer into the settlement account of GS1 Turkmenistan. An annual membership fee should be paid by a company being with GS1 Turkmenistan for every subsequent 12 month.

GS1 Turkmenistan will assign barcodes only after receiving originals of your application form for membership, a questionnaire, an application GS1 to obtain barcodes and package of documents in accordance with above referred list.
Attention! A company-member of GS1 Turkmenistan has no right to transfer the unique identification numbers allocated to this company-member to any other companies and organizations.
