EIMA International - 2018: Opportunities for the Development of the European Vector of Business Partnership
On November 7 - 11, International Agricultural and Gardening Machinery Exhibition (EIMA International - 2018) took place in the Italian city of Bologna. The Chairwoman of the National Organization of Turkmenistan for Bar Codes, member of the Board of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Aykamar Malikgulyyeva and the head of agricultural department and (agro-industrial complex) AIC UIET Shamurad Herremov were invited to participate in the forum.

GS1 Turkmenistan is a member of the Regional Forum GS1 in Europe
On October 22 - 25, the regular GS1 in Europe Regional Forum took place in Ljubljana. The event in the capital of the Republic of Slovenia gathered over 300 delegates. Along with the heads of national organizations, the chairwoman of GS1 Turkmenistan, Aykamar Malikgulyyeva took part in it.

The tenth meeting of the Interstate Technical Committee for Standardization МТК 517 was held
On October 11, 2018, the anniversary (tenth) meeting of the Interstate Technical Committee for Standardization МТК 517 «Технологии автоматической идентификации и сбора данных» was held in Moscow. The event was held at the office of the Association for Automatic Identification «ЮНИСКАН/ ГС1 РУС», which is entrusted with the conduction of the МТК 517 secretariat.

Turkmen-Uzbek business partnership given new impulse
On April 24, a Turkmen-Uzbek business forum was held in Tashkent, timed to coincide with the state visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Uzbekistan. In the conference hall of the «International Hotel Tashkent», heads and representatives of Branch Ministries and agencies, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, scientific and educational institutions, large private business enterprises of two countries have met. The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (UIET) and the National Organization of Turkmenistan for Bar Codes delegated their representatives to participate in the business forum.

On November 21-24st the Chairwoman of the National Organization of Turkmenistan for Bar Codes (GS1 Turkmenistan) as a part of the delegation of The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan has visited the capital of Russian Federation. The trip purpose - expansion of export possibilities of Turkmen manufacturers of agricultural goods, acquaintance with an advanced experience in the field of provision of food safety, and also an establishment of partner contacts in certification and examination sphere.

On 17th of July the regular meeting of members of technical committees for standardization of Turkmenistan was held in «Turkmenstandartlary» Main State Service. On the meeting’s agenda, discussion of work outcomes of these structures in the second quarter of current year on Plan for standardization has been considered for 2017.

National technical committee for standardization TK TM 08 «Automatic identification and data capturing» for the first time as the full member has taken part in the regular session of the Interstate Technical Committee for standardization MTK 517 «Automatic identification and data capture techniques» taken place on October 12th, 2016 in Moscow.
